<p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;">Just a reminder of our trip to Occoquan Bay NWR this<strong> Saturday, November 28</strong>.  We&#8217;ll meet in the Refuge parking lot at<strong> 8:00 AM.</strong>  Please remember to pay the honor-system parking fee of either $2 or $3 at the entrance into the refuge.  A recent report to VA-bird by Kurt Gaskill states that duck numbers are building and there is an impressive diversity of birds to be seen!  Please dress for the weather.</span></p>

<li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;">The 2009 Chancellorsville Christmas Bird Count is set to be held on Sunday, December 20.  This is our local</span><strong> </strong> <span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;">CBC and it is coordinated by FBC member, Bev Smith.  If you would like to help with the count, please contact Bev at &nbsp;<a href="mailto:catbirds@verizon.net.</span></li>

<li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;">The FBC will join the Hampton Roads Bird Club on a winter bird tour of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (CBBT), Saturday, January 16.  We will access Islands 2, 3 and 4, which are normally closed to the public.  To help cover the cost of the mandatory Police escort there is a $10 fee for each participant.  Please contact me if you are interested in participating, as there is necessary paperwork that needs to be completed by all prior to the trip.  I will supply more details soon.</span></li>
